Before The Shoot
- Choose a topic that you’re passionate about
Whether it’s your favorite dish or your favorite spot in your city, pick a topic you’re passionate about. Not only will you be more excited to produce your video, you’ll also be able to talk about it with confidence!
- Plan your shoot ahead of time
Based on your topic or idea, prepare resources that you need. Plan out how you’d like to shoot your video (and even do storyboards)! Ask your friends for help.
- Do a few rehearsals
Before recording, do run-throughs to get yourself comfortable with the set-up and what you are going to say in front of the camera.
During the Shoot
- Make sure that you’re well lit and we can hear you
- Keep videos to less than 3 minutes long
- Be creative and have fun!
- Turn your phone sideways for a landscape (horizontal) view
- Whenever opportunities arise, go for close-ups
- Ask a friend to hold the phone steady

We want to see you and your personality! Your video could be a, how-to, step-by-step cooking segment, dish / restaurant review, food and travel piece showing us your favorite spots in your city or even an interview with an interesting individual.

3 minutes or less.

Full HD 1080p [1920x1080] or the highest setting possible on your mobile.
What are the format required for the video?
Any format that is supported by your phone.
If I don’t have any Android or iOS device, how do I submit my video?
Upload your video on WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive, complete the Food Hero submission form and email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I transfer a video that I shoot from my camera into an Android or iOS device?
